Often regarded as a player who was bad tempered and reckless, Thomas Gravesen was actually very skilful and a great passer of the ball and after a second spell at Everton on loan from Celtic he retired from playing at the start of 2009.

Also a Danish international, he won 66 caps for the national side and was a member of the squad that played in the 2000 and 2004 European Championships and also the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
